No. I gave an example of a game that I found fun but isn't good. Twice.
Okay.
Just checking.
Now, assuming we are playing the same game. What about it is "badly designed"?
Like, you've brought up the lack of atmosphere. Which, okay, that is a valid point, but we agreed on that. And I don't really find issue with it. I'm not sure why you do, and you haven't given a reason beyond "Diablo II had atmosphere and this game doesn't", really.
Okay then, what exactly are we arguing about here?
The emphasis on repetitive gameplay to the exclusion of other elements of a video game.
Also, to deal with edits:
I never said there's anything wrong with you finding it fun.
However, you did say:
Which is what I responded to.
Originally? Something about games and their various attributes.
Now? Nothing at all. Very vehemently.
I really do not see how that relates to the conversation.
I mean, it is undeniably pretty similar to Diablo II. At least in terms of mechanics, which is what I meant, but I didn't really feel the need to elaborate because I did not anticipate that me accidentally saying "not bad" when I meant "not an issue for me" would lead to a massive debate.
So, if we can get off semantics, that would be great. If that's all you took issue with, then it's cleared up and we can move on with our lives, if it's not, please explain what is bothering you besides that.
It's almost like this conversation is totally pointless and a waste of everyone's time!
Lazuli, you seem to be getting a little aggravated. Might I humbly suggest you take five and come back a little more relaxed? I'm not trying to be condescending, sincerely. It's just that even if I disagree with your general perspective, I don't think you're necessarily wrong as such, and everyone argues their points better when they're not frustrated.
As much as that post would probably have been good to make a few minutes ago, I think we were probably done talking anyway >.>
I generally get aggravated when I get the impression I'm arguing with someone about literally nothing, yes.
Also I'm arguing with this guy on another site
which yeah.
lol add-ons
@Bee from the last page,
They made a 3rd Masters of Orion game?
So, I bought Spec-Ops: The Line (So I can finally not feel guilty for having played it), and my brother chose Civ V. He'll probably get tired of it in like 5 minutes, but hey.
Fuck it, I'll buy Dawnguard.
Do not buy DOOM 3 either, it's also terrible.
@Noimporta:
I got a whole week out of it.So...
I'm considering getting Revelations: 2012 just to review it.
But even with the sale, I would be paying like four dollars more than it's worth.
's more like 15. Seriously, they shouldn't expect people to play that thing without paying them.
^^If you want a bad game to review, I could always give you Bad Rats. ;D
You're a monster.
Okay, of the new discounts, I'd recommend Dishonored and Arkham City. Orcs Must Die was good, but I haven't played the sequel (just bought it).
If you don't have Sonic Generations, I'd recommend getting it.
Sorry I'm late but...

Hmm, now that I've seen the trailer, Quantum Conundrum looks interesting. I think I had been previously confusing it with that game where you design your own evil villain's lair.
Perhaps the ending isn't good because the story premise is silly. I mean, it looks very much like a special-concept game.
I don't think my computer can run it, though.
Yes. It was a complete disaster.
Speaking of complete disaster, it blows my mind how Tyler "Optimization is for Pussies" Glaiel got so popular. Even knowing Flash's performance issues, there's basically no excuse for as much lag as his games pile up.
Has anyone played the following games?
* Home
* Toki Tori
* Magnetis
I have Toki Tori. It's decent if you're into puzzles. It has a demo, so go ahead and try that first.
The last few levels are really, really brutal though T_T There's a damn good reason it has a rewind function, because there's zero room for error.
Maybe I'll snatch up one for SteamGifts, then. I suck at puzzle platformers. They always look cool and then I feel frustrated when I try to actually play them.
So I did some digging on the Basement Collection. Apparently it's almost unplayable because all they did was port the already laggy Flash straight onto Steam, memory leaks and all, except now you can't even right click and set low quality. It's one of the laziest things I've ever seen.
