Am I the only one who thinks the Velma/Shaggy storyline was handled well? It was pretty much the first time that a romance subplot in a children's cartoon actually struck me as realistic in terms of how many relationships really are.
OP:
^^I dug it. I felt it made sense, especially since it portrayed Velma as practical in analytical issues but knee-jerk with people and her deciding to rebuke Shaggy was clear character growth.
They keep combining the names! Makorra? Borra (or was that Kolin? No, I bet that would be some sort of Korra/Lin ship)? Just... Ugh! At least other fandom's shippers make more interesting ship names like Pallet Shipping
I'm pretty sure that doesn't just happen in Korra.
Buffy had Spike/Buffy = Spuffy.
(Should have been "Spiffy" but the internet lacking in wit and humor is not new)
pretty sure that is pretty much every fandom ever
...Keep doing it as I can't really stop them, BUT I'LL GLARE AT THEM DISAPPROVINGLY! >
Of course, the way the ship was pulled off in the show itself more than makes up for it.
The portmanteau names aren't used in Golden Sun, instead we get bizarre names like duckshipping. I don't know if that's better.

I ship Lady Liberty/ Blind Justice. They are my anthropomorphic yuri couple.
Shipping can be fun. Like, I love the realationship between Sonic the Hedgehog and Princess Sally, and Rouge's love life is the best part of X-Men Legacy.
One thing that bugs me is that most shippers seem to be fucking morons and can't tell the difference between romantic love (like say, between Peter Parker and Mary Jane) and fraternal/paternal/platonic/ect love, leading to idiotic pairings like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark or Thor and Loki.
Nothing says interesting reading material like long distance relationships with shakesperean ex-terrorists
Saying that the best part of the series isn't Rogue running around being awesome and being a teacher is fighting words sir. Although I'm okay with Rogue/Magneto shipping because Rogneto sounds hilariously like a hair product. I will say I want to see more of Rogue bouncing off the cast of Gambit, Frenzy, Rachel and Mimic while going on adventures at Snkitbub's school for gifted youngsters.
