Ah, okay then. I do hope they add T&B though, that was easily the best anime of last year.
Zetman?
ah yes, that was it.
Hetalia is actually pretty alright. It's just that it's fanbase is very large and therefore very vocal and it's easier to find the more insane fanstuff.
Shugo Chara is a show that I want to watch, although I actually read a little bit of the manga and thought it was kind of dull. In any case, Aki Toyosaki plays a main character so...
As for Toonami itself, none of its programming appeals to me at all, it seems.
Anybody else see tonight's broadcast?
New episodes of Deadman Wonderland and Casshern were amazing as always.
Bumpbumpbump
Did anyone see last night? They had TOM give his first motivational speech since the TOM 2 era and it was amazingly fuckawesome.
sure-sure
for the record: you can usually find a livestream on justin.tv
Fun fact: That speech's cliche as all fuck but Steve Blum's voice makes it great.
I thought it was genuinely pretty good.
They're not breaking any new ground with the content, certainly. But I wouldn't call it cliche, cliche implies a lack of quality.
:')
It's okay but I liked their old Dreams and Mad Rhetoric videos better.
Link?
You gotta love Toonami's indents, anyway.
Those aren't speeches though, those are promos.
They've got new ones of those too ("To Hell With Fear", "Better Cartoon Show 2012")
That said, mildly interested in Deadman Wonderland now, even if there is a sneaking suspiscion if it trying to hard.
What? That's totally the point, though. It's a different style of promo is what I'm saying, they did speeches back in the old days too. Also I felt that "Life" was kind of a subtle thank you to the fanbase, but whatever.
Anyway
DW is very dark and edgy and has been described as Superjail as a drama (I've never seen Superjail, so I have no idea how true that is), that said, it is genuinely a pretty good watch. Just be aware that the main character is y'know, a kid. In a prison. Where people die routinely. So he whines a lot. Also it has Shiro, which instantly puts it above shows that lack Shiro.
I like Casshern Sins better, personally, but it's also way too slow-burn for most people. So I dunno.
I just heard that Samurai 7 will be airing on Toonami.
You guys are so lucky, the only time I caught it was when it aired a couple of times on Animax SA and I never got around to buying the DVDs. If they do a rerelease DVD/BD I'll definetly get it.
I heard about that, and am honestly just a bit miffed that it's not something newer. But still, it's apparently a pretty good show, and hey, samurais. So yeah, I'll watch it.
^^I'm not familiar with Samurai 7, but that just reminded me. You know what old show I miss? Samurai Jack.
^^ It's a great series and the opening theme is amazing, but I do wonder why it's not something new.
^ Didn't that Samurai Jack still have no ending aside from the implied one with the gate protector guy?
I dunno; I don't think I wound up seeing the later episodes.
The movie is still stuck in development Hell, so yeah there's no official ending as of yet.
We know he succeeds because gatekeeper episode, but beyond that nothing.
"Samurai 7"
Is it as fuckawesome as the movie was
I haven't seen the movie, but there's mecha, so maybe?
how fun is it
does it get a kikuchiyo?
really that's all i'm asking here
