  • Signed up for a first aid course. Ruins the weekend, but always looks good on my curriculum.

  • I haven't been here in a few days.

It seems some recent bannees went nuts.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Just a bit.
  • No rainbow star
    Vorpy vorped
    Inkblot inked
  • ...is the infrequency of my presence here at all weird?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Nah. Comings and goings happen.
  • Personally I lurk a lot, because I don't often have anything to say.
  • There seem to be less threads about TVT now

    Thankfully.

Unrelatedly: Someone come up with a user title for me to use!
  • On that note, I just noticed Anonus' user title.

    LOL.

Also, all of this business regarding TvT and SA and cp is confusing the hell out of me.
  • You can change. You can.
I'm kinda getting tired of the SA and TvT threads because I think the whole "feud" is petty and stupid, by now.
  • I don't particularly care about the "rivalry", myself.
  • ^^ and also ^: Agreed.
  • It was fun for a minute, but now it's just old news.

I need some new drama to follow. :<

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    ^^^^Oh god yes.

^^^I care insofar as I just want people to stop posting here about it.

Also, not to get all 'ooh pity me' but I'm kind of frustrated that my rather detailed Batman thread is mostly joke shit-posting and TL:DR wankery.

Credit where credit is due, though: Dantes' snowclone was actually pretty funny.
  • ...Sorry about that. :<
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I mean I get why it happened and it's no individuals fault for being disinterested, but any time someone decides to ask why TV Tropes doesn't do genuine analysis I won't be able to help myself from posting that thread and going 'THIS IS WHY.'
  • I liked it and complimented you on it ;_;

Though that might have been hard to see underneath the Joker clap.

^^One could argue, however, that due to it's larger userbase, there'd undoubtedly be plenty of people who'd be interested in a full length essay on [insert show / comic / game / book / movie / franchise / manga / anime / whatever here], thus meaning that such analysis would prove quite useful on TvT / have not been written in vain, in addition to the fact that such essays would be more at home at TvT given it's purpose and formatting, both of which are far more suited to that kind of thing.

No, I saw, and I appreciated it. I'm not trying to demonize anybody and I certainly don't regret writing it, but I hear lots of people saying they want analysis and not TV Tropes' toy box model. Then when an analysis comes around...

^I linked to it on TV Tropes and the only reaction I got was being called a nerd. >_>

Hang on, Imma try another forum section.

Just posted in the film section. Now I play the waiting game.
  • Where? The forums or the wiki? Which subforums (if it's on the forums)? How long has it been since you linked to it?
  • edited 2011-09-07 01:59:02
Make them[1] analyse Gulliver's Travels as a result.

    Then they'll be sorry.

[1]Them being the ones who called you a nerd and any who complained about it, if they did.
  • I thought your Batman article was pretty cool.

The irony of self-professed nerds calling you one is kind of funny

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
On Troper Updates, which gets a good deal of traffic, though now I also posted it on The Live action film section.

    Let's see the reaction.

The worst case scenario is people going "Yeah! This is why superhero movies are better than shit like Citizen Kane!"

    which would make me. D=

^I'm pretty sure it was good-natured jibing, but I think it was made clear that such a level of thought was one they were afraid of.
  • You can change. You can.

You do realize that wicked wasn't being serious, right?
  • Wouldn't the worst case scenario be something like "Are you serious? This piece of shit was almost as bad as Citizen Kane!"?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Yes, I do. My point is that it's frustrating that that was the most detailed response I had.

    ಠ_ಠ

Dude, you posted a link to a full-length essay on Batman in a thread where most actual conversations last for three posts and most people are too busy rambling about whatever mundane, non-noteworthy thing they did five seconds ago to notice most other people's posts. What did you think would happen?
  • You can change. You can.
Well, yeah, but that's cuz people are only interested in a detailed analysis about how Homestuck relationships are like real life.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Where -should- I post it then, if not the optimal places for attention?

If I post it in the comic section, I call three posts before people bitch about its location and a derail.

This is kind of proving my point. Dammit, Tropers, but I'll keep posting.

Because sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.
