...okay, now this DOES bug me, because I want TVT to be a database of information.
Now if only we could find some rich donors...
Edit: Wait, even Lolita (the novel) got cut? Okay, this is too damn far. That's a work old enough (and generating enough discussion/controversy since its creation) to be considered literary.
Why did it take this long for KnJ to be cut?
Also, Why do nerds and geeks compare Big Bang Theory to the Minstrel Show
I don't see a reason to cut KnJ unless the page was becoming a moderation nightmare, in which case it should be locked (not cut).
IIRC, It was
In which direction, people praising it or people trashing it?
Because the previous policy was not to cut works pages over the content of the work being discussed. Which is, you know, reasonable.
People were overly gushing it
all catched up on homestuck
need to start reading homestuck
do it
fuck homestuck
sorry
Institute a damn "trusted user" status already.
Make it time-, reputation-, and contribution-dependent.
Make it easier to see what contributions a user has made. It's very easy on Wikipedia; it should be just as easy on TVT.
^^ no
now torn over whether or not to read homestuck
will not read homestuck
^^ I'd recommend at least giving it a shot. It's definitely not for everyone, and it starts off kind of slow, but I really really like it.
^ k
TVT spoilt Homestruck for me
read gunnerkrigg court instead
Can't I read both?
Stop talking about things I need to get back to. You make me feel bad.
^^ of course not, don't be silly
oh look that game i want to try has finished downloading
now i can put off reading again
Read minus because it's very good and also because it ended so you don't have to worry about having more things to keep up with.
Also because it's the only webcomic I can think of that I actually like.
Except maybe Gunnerkrigg Court, but I didn't read very much of that.
While Homestuck's fanbase is aggressively crazy(at least the loud parts are), it's really just a webcomic that you may or may not like. Fans pushing it as the greatest thing ever need to shut up, but so do people dismissing it out of hand. I mean it's not like we are talking about reality TV levels of boring/bad/unpalatable.
Homestuck's OK, but I can't really like it. Either way, just read The Last Days Of Foxhound.
I still have lots of stuff I've already set out to do, so I won't be reading Homestuck for a while.
Steps to becoming a Homestuck fan:
* Skip to the parts about the trolls.
* Write/draw anything involving Vriska.
Seriously, though, I doubt I could ever get into Homestuck, if only because frankly, it's just too long.
I do like the music, though.
Anyway, I've been trying to play Skyrim recently, but it's... well, really boring. Mainly because the dialogue has no spark. In a game where most of your time is spent either killing monsters or talking to people, the dialogue should at least be clever and well-written. It's why New Vegas was so much better than Fallout 3: Obsidian actually has good writers.
Well, there goes Beat Angel Escalayer.
Oddly, Custer's Revenge is still up. Someone archive it before it goes down. Anyone wanna bet how fast it gets taken down?
Sluggy Freelance has a special place in my heart for webcomics, since it was the first one I found. But I've noticed Sluggy is a lot better in quality when you binge it, because Pete likes to set up big stories that take a while to pay off. Or just silly punfests.
Is it bad I'm kinda dissapointed the Custer's Revenge page is so short?
Also I can't wait until he deletes the Katawa Shoujo page and everyone dies
