Chrysanth has watched the show, so she talked about it too much until I hung up the phone.
I don't know who Chrysanth is, but perhaps the show is not irredeemably horrible.
She is my friend in real life.
However, she also enjoys Bleach, Naruto and Rosario+Vampire.
Ah.
Scratch that. :x
Saints Row: The Third is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever played.
I appreciate how Saints Row is the ridiculous counterargument to Grand Theft Auto.
Is this actually really all that bad? From what I've read about it, it seems like an ordinary ecchi series. The main things I've seen people cite as its bad points are just that it's not very accurate to the manga and that it's made by Gonzo, neither of which really matter.
1999-2010
- Monster Hunter
Wielded ancient artifacts from beyond the Deep
Able to speak in seventeen different arcane languages
Skilled in identification of seventeen thousand, six hundred and twenty-two different species of fanged, vicious tentacle monsters from beyond human ken.
Slight ability with Old One Magic
2011-2012
- Burger Flipper
Cooks a mean fries
Fat and weak, what a disgrace. Guess the champ got too lazy.
Ain't gonna fly now he's just taking up space.
Sold his sword, threw his eggs down the drain.
... You mean, despite the fact that it's not an ecchi series?
>Red riding hood does not turn out to be a sexually-empowered woman with an automatic pistol hidden in her bosom, and the huntsman still saves her from the wolf.
This actually reminds me of a series of paperbacks I keep seeing in the book stores which from gleaning the back seem to be 'what if fairy tale princesses were Charlie's Angels' and one of them has Red Riding Hood as a super assassin.
I've always been idly curious about the books but not enough to part with something that could buy me Batman comics instead.
^^Ecchi is 'not-quite-hentai'.
As for R+V's quality... I was recommended it by a friend who pushed the 'school for monsters with lots of fights' aspect to me, so that might have colored my initial impression but honestly I don't even think it's good guilty pleasure titillation.
And her status as 'friend' is in review.
Red Riding Hood with guns? ...B.B Hood?
More Assassin's Creed than Hitman if the cover was any hint, though they aren't always.
That implies that GTA pre-IV wasn't ridiculous.
Is it Rosario+Vampire being discussed the anime or manga? The former is shit alright. The later is way better.
I hope Sim City 5 isn't a FB game or a multiplayer only game because if it is. I am so borrowing Alex's sword
^^^ It never quite reached the sheer absurdity of SR2/3, though.
^^^The latter is still a standard harem manga, that's a pretty low quality ceiling right there.
Did you ever get past the first "Season"?
>going to friend's house today
>original time was 1:30, under the pretense that I was picking some of them up
>both of those friends get rides, though
>no one tells me that the time was the same
>uh, the whole everyone else has rides thing kinda changes things, morons
>get call from a friend a few minutes ago
>he's an ass about it
Should I wait another half hour to spite him?
You shouldn't do anything to spite anyone.
Had a real productive day today. Went into the studio, got a lot of episode two of my new chat show (The x54) recorded and did some grocery shopping.
Skipped a meal to finish decorations for the frat's upcoming party, then got hold of all the leftovers, so free meal.

Today we had a presentation. For a change, I was enthusiastic about most of what I had to present, and for which I stood late at night looking stuff up. During the presentation, one of my groupmates starts presenting what I was supposed to, and I was stuck with presenting a boring, somewhat redundant point anybody else could, and I'm sure I looked like a lazy idiot while at it...
...anyhow, that time I've dreaded for years is starting now. Courses are over and I gotta do my internship and thesis, and hopefully find out I'm not an incompetent loser.
^^Ecchi is 'not-quite-hentai'.
I know what Ecchi is. The manga is not an ecchi series, though. It has its' moments, but it was definitely not.
And now you see why people dislike the anime.
Swag.
I periodically clear my notifications.
I have 11576 because I've been avoiding clearing them.
Because it's shounen?
But no, I mean that it keeps being brought up as an example of a horrible show, but it seems like it would just be, like... average. I mean, I haven't watched it, but...
The anime can be ecchi even if the manga isn't.
No, because the anime is listed as ecchi when the source material isn't. The anime is filled with gratuitous fanservice that doesn't fit. It's forced, it doesn't add to the story, it doesn't add to anything, it's annoying, blah blah blah
And because of the focus on the fanservice, they've lost a lot of what little made the manga good, like some of the interactions between the characters.
