Anyway, colour me interested
Bits of the conversation above were kinda a powder keg (i.e. not actually offensive, but highly likely to lead to a shitstorm sometime in the future), so I cut it out. I don't like thumping posts, but there I think it was the right decision.
Lately I've been playing Grief Syndrome (the Madoka Magica beat-em-up). It's quite fun.
I haven't played it in months though.

I think I found the source of fandom craziness: capitalism. Fandom is the purest expression of a culture which finds solace through material goods, which bombards us with ads equating consumption with identity, which is so self-centred that it cares only of its own pleasure regardless of others' well being, which leads to people with brands for names...
Suffice to say the one thing I hate the most about fandom is how goddamn materialistic it is, yet that isn't an isolated problem.

Also, I've decided I'm going for Lilly in my first Katawa Shoujo playthrough.
Probably should have mentioned that I'm going by the definition of fandom as the point where one's hobby and one's identity are intertwined, which pretty much refers to the crazies.
Then you should use a different word because that's not what fandom means.
also, question about Katawa Shoujo, how brutal is the game with picking wrong dialogue options?

Tried that St. Ives Apricot Scrub that Waltzy recommended in the Appearance Improvement thread. It's too soon to comment on how well it works for me, but it smells real nice.
