Trying to get (or hold) a job or education with poor sleeping habits sucks. MadassAlexIIRC, the metalhead-in-denial teacher from K-On! In which I agree. My issue with K-On! is the lack of conflict and consistent plot arc, but Sawako was interesting because she has a constant internal conflict. It's played for laughs via the juxtaposition of her imaginings of being the ideal, docile, well-loved Japanese lady and her memories of being a metal guitarist, but there's some cause for excellent character story in there. The story of a young, attractive person who gave up their dream to pursue something mundane and sometimes crushing isn't one that's often told, but Sawako makes that story endearing and sympathetic. K-On! really is written from the perspective of the wrong characters, in my opinion.
