I never found the fun in writing Mary Sue stories. I would rather write something that more people than just me like. And writing is kinda of a chore too.
And I'm not free of that problem. I usually rush out my chapters rigt after writing them and then I look over them and see how the spelling is slightly jacked.
And I have badfics of my own....oh god, Pokèmon: Night's Embrace. I'm sorry the internet had to suffer the pain of hosting that. Seriously, it doesn't deserve that pain.
In that I look at them, and I feel secure in my knowledge that at least I'm better than them.
A few years ago, I read a lot of fanfic MSTings on a German anime site and found much enjoyment in doing so.
ICH MUSS DIES SEHEN
Like what? Aside from trolls and classics, I've never read fanfic that didn't make me want to put my foot in a blender.
A Pokemon Story?
Just look harder. It's there. It's impossible for it to all be bad. You may be too biased against it to find even the good examples well done.
I tend to think agressiveness is my only way of getting the point across.
