I recall reading about this on Ryal's version of the E.D. article. To be honest, I didn't (and still don't) see much reason to want "better relations" with Busy Street--it struck me as a blog whose modus operandum is "go around randomly insulting things, and then later claim its intelligent criticism."
Though I didn't read very much of it, take that as you will.
Thread smelled like a fanbaiting effort on the part of Busy Street. Respond to the weak arguments, post counter-arguments plus trolling of users on their site, generate attention for their website in order to create a feedback loop.
Does the entire site have dyslexia, or was this intentional?
The thread was deleted because it had descended into personal attacks and due to the perception that Busy Street are another site, hostile to TV Tropes, who were coming over to start shit. Is this not the case?
I can't imagine why anybody would want any relations with them.
(Although I don't have the power to ban people from the site, FYI)
I don't like this kind of fighting. I'd be happier if we could all get along.
It's been nice knowing you, Bobby.
-salute-
Let me rephrase that, SCENESTER shit.
They aren't Hipsters because they are mainstream internet paladins and don't host their own domain IRONICALLY.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to import drama.
Um. HI BUSY STREET ^__^;
