Believe it or not, those kinds of creepy troper tales are actually prohibited, so we'd love people to delete them, actually.
And what's this? Furries, in my mod team?
^ We don't mind you saying negative things, but there's a time and a place. Eddie wants opinions kept off the article main pages, positive and negative. The negative ones are just higher priority to cull because they tend to attract flaming.
To be fair, we do have rules in place for Troper Tales, it's just that the people writing the pages don't seem to have cottoned on yet. I deleted a bunch today, in fact.
^ They're supposed to keep the anecdotes off the pages. We don't want the creepy stuff on the wiki, period.
Part of Eddie's problem, as alluded to above, is that the wiki is absolutely bloody gigantic. One person, even a site admin, can only do so much in the way of shit-removal. I will admit, though, that his paranoia regarding delegation isn't helping matters much, here as elsewhere.
I've put in an unban request for you on the mod board, but I'm not sure whether it's worth getting your hopes up; Eddie has been known to lift bans, but he can be pretty unforgiving at times. But that's assuming you want to come back; the rules there are pretty strict about civility, as you probably figured.
Eddie might be more amenable to that.
Maybe it'll clear up in a second? The site software is notoriously buggy.
There is a rule on this website about not importing drama. Keep in mind that this thread is on shaky ground.
Okay, now to see what the lawdy is going on here.
[TV Tropes thread]> Busy Street, TGWTG, Liquid Critic, Adult Baby, Doug Walker, Channel Awesome, Asalieri, RAR, Cinema Snob, Phelous, Lord Kat, AVGN...
...of these, I've only heard of TGWTG and AVGN, and I've only barely seen a bit of AVGN. So suffice it to say I don't know what you're talking about and don't care much either way. Yet at least.
> the hate on Bobby for banning whoever
Bobby doesn't have ban powers, as explained in the thread.
> Fast Eddie and the "Google ban" (redirect to Google)
I agree that making the site unviewable to site-banned people is overkill.
> I'd still like to be unbanned from Tvtropes I mean it sucks I can't even look at the fucking website.
Try talking to Bobby.Oh, I see you're doing that already. And try not to antagonize him (or have people from your site antagonize him) in the meantime.
> it sounds like it was just a case of shared IP addresses, in which case that's unfortunate.
This should definitely be looked into.
> Then my post got thumped by bobby, and then Eddie banned me, I thought it was bobby but I was wrong, so I apologize for making the title of the post "bobby can't handle criticism"
Might wanna change that.
> ^ They're supposed to keep the anecdotes off the pages. We don't want the creepy stuff on the wiki, period.
One idea would be to delete and lock-deleted certain pages' tales threads. Such as Fetish Fuel. Though this has probably been discussed to hell and back on the TV Tropes forum already.

Overall, good to hear that things seem to be somewhat clearer and calmed down now.
I'm fine with people using this site to work things out, so I'm going to keep this thread open for now. (FYI, I can be overruled, either by our head admin or by our webmaster.)
My two cents: I don't think a ban appeal is going to work out because you seem the type who uses 'brutal honesty' as an excuse to run your mouth off, then whine the moment it has any consequences(just a passing impression I get from your posts here, so you could have been well-behaved in the TVTropes thread, not going to trudge through all that stuff). Site admin over there has a pet hate for verbal abuse under the banner of legitimate criticism. I like that sort of thing, which is why I probably post more over here anyway.
Also, you strike me as a tad net-naïve(or I'm missing the hyperbole) with the hissyfit you're throwing about tropers being potential rapists and killers(not necessary in that order). I mean, to others, your down-to-fuck comments in the other thread would make you come across as a potential rapist. /minor nitpick about how easily people throw the term potential rapist/killer around
Quite the opposite. Looking at some of his decisions in the Edit Banned thread, I think he is not harsh enough.
But I know that I'm alone with that opinion.
A tad confuzzled here, I was addressing JC_Punk and with "site admin over there" I meant Fast Eddie. Can't see where I suggested this site was for tropers alone, didn't mean to imply that.
The latest Busy Street article seems kinda butthurt. Did something else happen that I didn't hear about?
Though to be fair I think that article wasn't written by a staff member, but was sent from email. They still chose to publish it though
