  Huh? There's no particularly bad grammar on the road signs and the numbers are all wacky because they're referring to an aircraft carrier.
  
  As for some of the stranger terms, Newport News Shipbuilding is a real company and Battle Stars were an actual award for WW2 ships.

  Wasn't the grammar but more the style of the signs, such as "TO WEST [arrow]" without a road sign beneath the "WEST".
  
  I wasn't aware that the numbers were supposed to refer to an aircraft carrier, so that's my bad.
