After clearing that up you should've brought up the one about which one is faster, a car moving at the speed of sound or a plane moving at the speed of sound.
(The car is faster, at least if they're in the same general area. The speed of sound is lower high up in the air.)

There was a whole long story about how anon's grandma got this shit as a gift, but her daughter - his mother - could not stand it (a wise woman), so it gathered dust on the top of a wardrobe until anon decided to take it to the students' house he lived in during his student years, where it shone on every party he went to. Whether the story's true or fake, somebody created this thing.
In fact I think super-weird Pope and/or British Royal Family nonsense might be the the most vaguely mainstream novelty gifts.
