Imipolex, remember all those times heapers people would rage at me because I was better than them at games and it made their egos hurt. It's a pretty huge relief I don't have to talk to them about games anymore. Especially because their collective taste in games is shit. *throws The Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, Enter the Gungeon, Faster than Light, and every other neo roguelike action rpg, into the trash where they belong*

I used to feel really alone and scared when heapers mods got angry at me and wanted me gone but these days I liveblog my mod encounters when I start to feel nervous, just to remind myself that it's not me versus an army of a million militant tumblrites, it's me and most of the world feeling annoyed by a minority of militant tumblrites. I don't have to prostrate myself or make excuses or put myself down or anything. It feels great. It sure sucked when I was having to live in the shadow of the social justice movement. Blegh.

Fun fact: heapers hangout dot com singlehandedly convinced me (with some strong assistance from a large number of espernet channels that honestly ought to be just one single channel) to become a nazi. I spent a full year of my life being a nazi and trying to fit in with nazis. That's how repugnant that lifestyle was. I don't like nazis either but tbh I can stand them more than I can stand tumblr.

I'm sorry stormtroper, that was my bias talking. The top-level touhou players tend to be dicks, even moreso than other shmups. They are especially terrible now that it's the alt-right era and all the touhou girls are pretty much gone (myself included). Touhou is pretty cute and I kinda look forward to the upcoming Hidden Star in Four Seasons.

Does anyone mind if I delete a whole bunch of recent posts (starting with Earthlight_Ray's post following BassFishing's on the previous page, to Naas_Human's post before Stormtroper's post on this page, with the exception of part of fourteenwings's post) but also ones responding to them)? I'm still thinking through whether to delete, blank, partially edit, leave, or maybe also which ones to delete but move the contents to another thread but honestly this is sort of covering the same ground that I already covered with my response in that other thread, which is also ground that I've covered in the past.

Actually maybe I'll just save the two whole webpages, leave them archived on my computer, and then just blank the posts in question, and then if anyone REALLY needs to refer back to them I'll have a backup but the point is we really shouldn't need this here and besides there IS a rule against importing drama so I am in my rights to do this but I just want to do it nicely and without blindsiding people.

To be honest, in a negative light, you are giving the people hate WAY too much credit. I too fluxuated between extremes and what not whenever I was on TVT,IJBM etc, but if super-delicate and emotional transpeople on a hidden forum can get this much of a reaction out of you then you need to do some cognitive restructuring and learn to place your emotional values somewhere else. Like are you REALLY going to let yourself dwell on your "enemies" when those aforementioned enemies have never successfully overcome any of their own issues and challenges and struggle to even buy themselves nice things or avoid going to bed alone every night?

I am indeed enjoying the show. Conflict is the lifeblood of all stories.

However I brought up heapers because...um. -goes back to previous page because forgot- oh right my ex sent me a text and CA gave me some advice, then I realized I didn't say anything on here. To be honest, HH was really helpful (except for Rigby and Tools who ONLY go there to talk about themselves) when I was having all my IRL issues, and while that was the PERFECT time to shit on me and roll their eyes, and employ all their ire and dismissal comments to damage me in my most emotionally vulnerable time, they didn't. They could've gone "that's what you get." or "be more careful next time" while snickering on an IRC channel, or just quietly enjoying the suffering of the cis whore, but they didn't. I got PMs, I got support on pretty much every update I did.

That wasn't born from whiteknighting or a desire to get in my pants either. They never saw a picture of me and ended up lust poisoned, supplicating me because of an innate desire to copulate. They're all gay/bi/forget the other term/taken, so all of this was authentic empathy/sympathy. Which really upped my trust in that site.

Just post until they sink away and are forgotten. If Ray ends up getting banned I still wanna read the posts that built up to the "no going back" moment, for the Great Chronicle. Like it or not these bouts of conflict and drama are important for a community, even if they're sometimes annoying. That and it's mostly harmless complaining and obvious venting. Only delete things like this.

Speaking of the boyfriend thing, there's this political activist who at one point supported (IIRC in legal terms) not having to disclose STDs when asked for the purpose of FUCKING the SHIT out of each other. Although I agree with him on most stuff, I found that really unconvincing (he kept repeating that 'health is a matter of personal responsibility'). Your episode at HH made me realize how wrong he was about it.

As for HH, they're supportive when your problems are unrelated to their political beliefs. When your problems are caused by something vaguely related to their political beliefs, they'll gang up on you, take what you say as an attack on them, treat your problem as some distant abstraction and tell you how you (and by extention anybody with problems similar to yours) are wrong for caring about it. Then they'll go on their merry way having breakdowns about Trump being president.

Yeah, I'm bitter about something that went on there. I think I'll follow my own advice and stop visiting it, I'm not enjoying that place anywhere close to as much as I thought I would when I started visiting.

Because, frankly speaking, I think there's a handful of them who react poorly to things, and if it's the people I'm thinking of, there's about three of them who are just simply dismissive without trying to talk anything out, but this isn't just for politics, but for pretty much anything that annoys them. I guess their idea of that site is basically just a place to putz around and not have to deal with the stresses they face elsewhere in their lives, since I think one of them struggles with depression, while the other is in a very difficult financial situation. And so I can understand why they might feel that way, even though I, too, feel that their behavior is rather annoying, and they and I don't exactly get along sometimes.

(Incidentally it was yesterday that I changed my user title to "Do not hate humans, for theirs is already a hard lot." It's a [i]Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[/i] quote.)

Also, I know that Marxist ideologies have not treated you and your country well, and I'm sorry to hear that, but do forgive us Americans for being somewhat interested in picking out at least the better parts of what they have to offer because our country is having [i]very[/i] severe problems with unchecked capitalism and plutocracy screwing over have-nots.

(Also that's why I think that ideological labels are bunk. If you can mix-and-match anyway, why classify like that.)

Besides, Earthlight_Ray isn't talking about economic systems, but rather about identity politics and gender issues, which are a rather different dimension that does not line up neatly at all with economic ideologies.

But hey, maybe you're right about those few who do react poorly to things, having a strong effect on shaping perceptions.
