fffffFFFFUUUUCCCCKKKK
Solution: Don't buy AAA games until about three years after they come out.
Counterpoint: Skyrim was around 75% off a few months after release.
^No it wasn't. It was 33% off in the Christmas sale.
Quantum Conundrum is a daily deal for $9. Which is probably still more than double what it's worth. Seriously, for those who missed it last time I brought it up, don't buy that game. The mechanics and atmosphere are great, but the level design after the first half or so is a disaster that renders large parts of the game almost unplayable.
Zombie kids add emotional depth in non-vidya zombie stories?

Just realized Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was on Steam. It's been on my "I should really play this sometime" list for ages.
You really should, especially if you have a controller to play it with.
I don't >.>
But I will anyway. It's installing now.
Ah, that should prove interesting. It's still a really good game, if a bit dated thanks to AC.
I said a few months. Not one.
@zombies:
I don't think zombies can't be done as a source of horror. I think that the oversaturation of them in the media does diminish their impact greatly, though.
That's pretty much the gist of it. As I said before, Resident Evil was pretty much the best game involving zombies because it understood how silly and scary the movies featuring them were. It's all a matter of balance after all.
As it went along, it lost sight of itself and became more soap operaish and DMC-esque, though.
^^I don't think they can't be done as a source of horror. I just don't think their presence makes a good horror game any scarier.
Sometimes I'm not sure if Dead Space 2 was trying to play the child necromorphs(space zombies) seriously or just laughing at how ridiculous they all were. Like the scene where you go through a school and fight a horde of them on the auditorium set up for a school play. It's all vaguely ridiculous, but not enough to tell if it was intentional.
Dead Space (haven't played 2) is an action game trying very desperately to be scary. Hence monsters jumping out and yelling "BOO!" like five times in each hallway in the first game.
Have the Gundemonium games gone on a deeper discount than $2 per game yet?

Sideway New York or ARES: Extinction Agenda?
Noitu Love 2. :P
Why that game?
Also, I had a dream last night where it turned out that the chieves actually gave you puzzle pieces and (something like McDonald's Monopoly) if you got all the pieces for a given game you could win it. They were "pieces" cut out jigsaw-style from the title banner of various games.
...I should go into marketing and fall asleep at my desk, shouldn't I?
Hey, I've got half an hour left. Tell me, why Noitu Love 2?
It's a gloriously fast-paced run-and-gun (well, run and slash) with some light platforming. It's a lot of fun. Also, the 2nd level is a Castlevania homage. (yes i suck at recommending games)
Hm, thanks for the input.
*goes away for a bit*
