It looks blatantly copy-pasted, since the white background meshes terribly with grey and the red on black title. Though I do like the idea of bugs looking like Christmas lights.

Too Totalitarian in my opinion, It makes it seems like a military service is being drafted.

Doesn't strike me as the rich environment of sick-depravity that this place really is!

Or something like that, The IJBM is harder to read because of the color choice too.

and the bugs could be mistaken for something else, It's a little too bland and the colors don't match so that really stands out

Because of the factors above, It's not very recognizable, and not very draft-able as a result.

Since the top is green, it should be a light-ish but not gaudy blue. That will also work with the insects

That somewhat goes back to what I said in IJBMer Updates; it's hard to make a banner work for us if the background it's pasted onto looks bad.

I don't think banners, or at least ornate ones like that, jibe well with the theme, which is inherently/intentionally minimalistic.

I admit that, while the old one was kinda ugly, the lampshade made this place feel more like home, and I ultimately view this place as another home, so I think that works better for a laidback atmosphere than an army of bugs lined up side by side.

Fun fact: the shade of pale green actually comes from my color-sampling the lampshade of the old logo.

Sounds like putting the old logo back might be a better idea.
