^^What kind of shit quality carrots have you been eating?

^Blame mass commercialization, and the hit-or-miss nature of local joints for that.
  • "What kind of shit quality carrots have you been eating"

    Many kinds.

They have no taste. Except "dirty water". Like ALL raw vegetables. I can't believe people actually eat this shit.

Chagen, treat yourself to an omelette some day:

    God, I love Julia Child.

They have no taste. Except "dirty water". Like ALL raw vegetables. I can't believe people actually eat this shit.

    -buries face in hands-

Clearly you just have no idea how to prepare them.

You are not alone in that. Many people in America just do not know how to prepare vegetables. Like the people who prepared the food in my old school cafeteria. They just boiled some peas and carrots and called that a side. Shameful.

    >Omelette.
    >Eggs.

    *Hissing noises*.

    >They have no taste. Except "dirty water". Like ALL raw vegetables. I can't believe people actually eat this shit.

The fuck? Some veggies, like carrots and broccoli, are far better raw than cooked. And they definitely have more flavor than "dirty water".

Neo: Yes, I love the hissing sound of an egg frying on the pan. :3
  • You can change. You can.
I prefer white bread myself because I like its bland taste.

Wheat bread is kinda eh when it comes to using them for, say, sandwiches, as Neo pointed out.

We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
This thread sort of reminds me of the last /mu/ discussion I read.

^^Not all sandwiches mind you. Hummus tastes better on wheat bread, turkey tastes better on wheat bread, ham tastes better on white, and tuna tastes better on white.

^^^ Yeah. When eating a sandwich, I actually prefer my bread to have little flavor.
  • You can change. You can.
turkey tastes better on wheat bread

    what heresy is this
  • But you never had any to begin with.
Or eat chicken in sandwiches instead. :P

I just slap a whole bunch of whatever I have available on whatever bread I have available, which is often a delicious bakery bread anyway.

For example, recently put some Edam cheese, mild salsa and wild salmon with a touch of cayenne chili sauce on some whole wheat pita, and then did the same thing on a bakery white bread later when the pita ran out.
  • This thread makes me want some sourdough bread now.

    >wild salmon.

Where do you live Anne? Wild salmon costs like $25 a pound over here.

    No rainbow star
^^ Oh dear lord I love sourdough

    And french bread too!

And my mother occasionally takes pita bread, slathers it with some garlicy flavoured sauce, then bakes it and oh dear lord is it ever good

Neo: Connecticut, close enough to costco. Sometimes we can get deals on wild salmon.
