    As I understand it, it depends on how prevalent fantasy elements are within settings.

    For example, if magic is incredibly rare, dragons are the like are only slightly more real than in real-life, and the setting is otherwise reminiscent of the real middle ages. Then it's Low Fantasy

    High Fantasy on the other hand, magic is everywhere, to the point where the quality of life is about as high as in modern times, just with magic replacing technology.

    Then "High Fantasy" isn't the word I'm looking for. Because a lot of my own work would count as that genre going by that definition.
