Mark Hamill has officially stepped down as the Joker.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
This is so weird. He's been THE JOKER for as long as I can remember. I mean, as amazing as Heath's performance was, I can't help but always read comics in his voice. Him officially not being the Joker is so weird to me.

I wonder who will take his place?

I heard Brent Spiner is interested in doing more with the role. His Young Justice performance was pretty boring but I'm almost absolutely positive that was the script.

  • I still say he'll do the voice from time to time whenever he feels like it, just like Peter Cullen whenever he wants to do Optimus Prime.
  • You can change. You can.
Nah, Hamill has been having problems doing the Joker voice. There's more than a reason why the Joker's dying in this one, yannow. And it's not just for the obvious metafictional last dance thing.

That voice, man. It sounds nothing like his normal one. As much as I love Star Wars, Mark's true contribution to art was as a voice actor.
  • Although, he has stepped down about 3 times now so...

But yes, when I read comics, I imagine the Joker with his voice.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
As Juan said, this time it's for physical reasons.
  • -covers ears- If I can't hear you it's not true.
  • EVERYONE GET THE FUCK OUT. I GOT THIS
Yep, he's the only Joker in my heart.

I'm probably the only one who thought Heath Joker was WAY too serious.
  • My opinion on Ledger: He gave a very, very, very good performance. But what he did just wasn't the Joker.
  • You can change. You can.
I loved Heath's joker because he fits Nolan's batman. Same way that Nolan's Batman is not really Batman, or his scarecrow is not really the Scarecrow is not the actual scarecrow and so on. They're Nolan's take on old characters and interpreting them into his own fun versions of the character.
  • But you never had any to begin with.
Batman is not Batman. The Joker is not The Joker.

    Nothing is true.
