    Jobs tend to suck, but not too badly. And unless it's really bad, the pay tends to make it all worthwhile. One of my favourite aspects of having a job is not just the disposable cash -- I can get that from unemployment benefits -- but having enough to make a contribution to one's own family and friends. For me, the difference between an adult and a child is one of provision; an adult seeks to be a provider for others and a child seeks to consume.

    Getting some job experience is not a bad thing. You'll have to work someday anyway and with that you aren't completely unprepared.
