    It's not, GameStop only actually holds the game for 2 days after release, and sometimes not even then.

    Just meant as a little passerby trolling. I have a Steam account, but my laptop can't actually handle games very well, since it's, well, a laptop. And Gamestop gets benefits that other game retailers don't.

    Everyone here knows that (especially me; I've had to deal with him from a position of authority, and I still haven't forgiven him for an overreaction that happened months ago), but almost everyone here probably also knows that Gamestop is a shitty retailer, and in any case, I think Chagen has a right to be pissed over this. There's only so much you can do to exaggerate such a case as this.

    I don't know of any other dedicated meatspace videogame retail chains.

    The rest are not dedicated (e.g., near me, the entertainment store fye, the comics/video/music store Newbury Comics, and the general stores Wal*Mart and KMart and Target), or are mom-and-pop shops that are likely selling secondhand stuff anyway.

    Also, maybe Chagen's other thread is overreacting, since preorders do logically get prioritized over present-day sales, but I would expect them to fill pre-orders at least.

    Unless they got so few they didn't even have enough to fill pre-orders.

    EB Games used to be one but they were bought out by GameStop anyway.

    It was still the only place I could find a copy of Big Bang Mini. Not that I actively search a lot due to only playing a few games at a time.
