  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Except they're not. Bandai started realizing how popular the series was with teenage girls who write yaoi and slash and have been doing it on purpose ever since.
  • $80+ per session
Someone should be a series that combines giant mecha with zombies.

Even other series with Bandai's blight on it have pandering to yaoi fans. *leers at Sentai and Kamen Rider*
  • ^^^ Yeah, but Gundam Wing was made BEFORE the western yaoi fangirl craze. Actually, it was made before anime even took off in NA.

^^ There's a Code Geass manga spin off for that.

Yes, but the Japanese fujoshi lapped it up.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a Mobile Suit third-person combat game with customisation. Some interesting potential in there.

You've never heard of Armored Core I take it?

And I agree with the title, there are too many zombies. Honestly, the only zombie thing in recent memory I liked were the early installments of Resident Evil, and the first especially because there was a bit of a mystery to it--"what are these, why are they here?" (though I suppose this is a bit of a Late Arrival Spoiler, but I played the game before it became a franchise). I could care less about the moral/social/symboligic litfag shit. Mysteries stimulate my brain.

Kinda thought George Romero's movies were fun but not that great, honestly.
  • Yeah, except in Armored Core you can't free build in multiplayer.

Frankly, I'd hate any game where performance is based on the cost of your mech.

Are you talking about how you have to win/purchase parts in the single-player campaign to use them in multi?

To be honest I don't mind that. I like the whole "build up, earn a mech that you practically made from scratch, and show it off against the world" thing. It would be lame if multi just let you have every part in the game for free.
  • Not to mention, it's not exactly difficult to play through an Armored Core game and get to the point where you can build pretty much any mech you want.  Once you beat the game, you'll have access to pretty much every part (except for hidden ones, but most of those tend to be easy to get anyway), and none of the Armored Core games I played (1,3,SL,4) were especially difficult.
