    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Speaking of Skyrim, I gave in to temptation and preordered the collector's edition. Now I'm really looking forward to it. Stupid months-long wait.
  • FFFFFFFF-

I've been trying to resist pre-ordering but was entertaining the thought, and now-

    -damn youuuu~. :<
  • Probably Moral Orel. Moreso if it hadn't been cancelled mid-season.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^^The regular edition, or collector's? I need to know if I should feel $60 guilty or $150 guilty.
  • I dunno yet either. Probably just the $60 one. I should show some restraint. And hey, I know I'm going to buy it eventually, so why not preorder.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
In actuality, I thought it was going to be Skyward Sword.

    Malk fails at reading Waltzy.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Oh, okay. I feel less bad about that.

Eh. Like people have said, impossible question, but I'll answer my favorite things right now:

    * Western Cartoons: Pinky and the Brain
    * Literature: Song of Ice and Fire
    * Vidja gaems: Team Fortress 2
    * Movies: Platoon
  • They're somethin' else.
Yeah, my favorites, which is hard as is:
*Video Games: Legend Of Zelda NES
    * Literature: Rant by Chuck Palahniuk
    * Film: Fight Club
    *Anime: Berserk
    *Western Animation: The Simpsons
  • Legend of the Game of Xephon Peaks.

In all seriousness, I don't think I can determine it.
  • You can change. You can.
    Lacks Giant Robo.

    Shame on you.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
    If we're going by medium:

    Anime: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Manga (yes, I'm making a distinction): Monster
    Literature: American Gods
    Live-action TV show: Numb3rs
    Film: Apocalypse Now
    Western Animation: Futurama
    Western Comic: Watchmen
    Video Game: Pokemon
    Tabletop Game: Warhammer 40k

  • You can change. You can.
    Live-action TV show: Numb3rs

you tainted your almost perfect list with sin.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Did you just watch the early bits? Because Numb3rs got off to a really crappy start, but improved.
  • You can change. You can.
    Yeah. >.>
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I don't remember where I started, but I liked it well enough at that point. Probably at least a way into season 2. Then I went back and watched the first couple of episodes and...ew.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
Indeed, the first 13 or so episodes weren't very good but it got significantly better until around season 5 where it kind of tapered off. Even then, it had some really good episodes.
  • You can change. You can.
Also, I forgot that this thread was about favorite works rather than "best" works, so I also decided to come down on that, because, well, I don't know much about Numb3rs, but I 'd definetly say there are better Tv shows. (Like the Wire. <3)
  • a little muffled
I have no idea. I tried to do a by-medium one, but the only one where I could actually come to a decision was Golden Sun as my favourite video game.

    Clean your room little Billy

    Time for my unnecessary contribution.

    Animu: Perfect Blue (?)
    Comix: The Sandman
    Film: Jacob's Ladder
    Literature: The Stand.
    Live Action TV: Blackadder.
    Theatre: Hamlet.
Video Game: By playthrough, either Ocarina of Time or Eternal Darkness.
Western Animation: The Simpsons, pre-Jean era.

  • Can I contribute to this thread?

    Manga: Doraemon.
    Comics: Spirou and Fantasio.
    Literature: Discworld.
    Live Action TV: Blackadder.
    Western Animation: The Spectacular Spider-Man.
  • To be more specific:

    Anime: Gurren Lagann

    Manga: Negima!

Book: The Human Brain by Issac Asimov

Movie: Either Speed Racer or GATTACA

  • Animu: Eureka 7

    Mango: One Piece

    Book: Night by Elie Wiesel

    Movie: Nightwatch

    Game: Can't pick

  • Anime: Legend of Galactic Heroes
    TV-series: Babylon 5
    Litterature: Discworld most likely.
Movie: Can't think of any one movie in particular, maybe Ikiru, Seppuku, Dr. Strangelove, Life of Brian or Brazil.

Of these, only LoGH and B5 are most likely going to be pretty much immovable for the foreseeable future, though the TV adaption of A Song of Ice and Fire (one of my favourite novel series), might be pushing B5 somewhat, but not close to the edge yet.
