The original sound novels, not the anime.
A month and a half ago, I probably would have said the same thing that Juan did. But when I read Higurashi, I was drawn into it and connected with the story on an emotional level that nothing I'd read, watched, or played before had.
I'm not saying that it's objectively the best thing ever, because of how personal this kind of thing is, but it's what resonated most with me.
Only the Sith deal in absolutes!
That said, while I don't do favourites, I'll simply say the BIT.TRIP series because it's not as well-known, yet it was the series that convinced me that video games could be art.

However, one thing that I've consistently liked is Pokemon; just by going how much time I've put into it, and how I still like it after all these years.

Japanimation: Out of the recent stuff I've seen, I like Paranoia Agent. Of nostalgia, Ranma 1/2
Comics: I'm not too much into cape stuff,so I'll be patriotic and say Mortadelo y Filemón

Literachur: I like The Green Mile
Vidya Geims: Either Zelda Majora's Mask or Terranigma
Western Animation: Older stuff, The Simpsons or South Park. More recent, Adventure Time. I like a lot of this actually.

Video Games: Rock Band 2
Tabletop Game: Dungeons and Dragons

* Manga: Same.
* 'Merkin cartoons: He-Man and She-Ra (I consider them the same show).
'* Merkin comics: Either Thundermace or Chakan the Forever Man
* Pen-n-Paper RPG: Shadowrun 1st Edition.
* Literature: Back in the day I would've said either The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings, nowadays not so sure.
* Movie: I dunno.
* Video Game: ..... Fuck, my brain esplode.

The film I seem to always end up going back to is Goodfellas and the TV series CSI. When I was still editing the wiki, half the examples I ever came up with seemed to be from one or the other.
For now I'll say The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
