    ^Crispin Freeman's Kyon is fantastic. JYB is okay, but I can't ever unhear him as the Black Ranger. Wendee Lee is pretty good as is Yuki. Mikuru's english amv is pretty forgettable.

    So, pseudo trolling aside, I don't care for any of the female characters. Haruhi's annoying, Yuki's boring, and Mikuru is the standard generic moe blob. Then again, I don't really have that much experience with the series, so if I'm wrong, it'd be great if someone could correct me.

    What trolling? I hate Haruhi as a character. Most of the other characters are fine (except Mikuru, who is simply a boring Moeblob). Except Haruhi.

    @Bob: Yuki gets less boring as the series goes on, and Haruhi gets at least slightly less annoying.

    ^You get a lot of insight to her repressed emotions and desires. There's basically an entire book devoted to 'What Yuki wishes she could be like'

    Also, I love the hell out of Haruhi. She may be a bitch, but she's an entertaining one.

    Haruhi is okay. I don't particularly like her or dislike her.

    Kyon is like 99% of the reason I read/watch the series.

    I'm also going to say I dig the crap out of Mikuru. I know she's a standard moe blob, but the invocation and the meta aspect of her make her fun.

    I'm also convinced grown-up Mikuru has some sinister plot.

    Mikuru is supposed to be a parody of a moeblob, or something.  Really, Yuki and Haruhi come across more as moeblobs, since they're actually meant to be taken seriously but still completely lack any non-fanservicey personality traits.

    Disappearance was good, but I don't think it justifies Yuki's unbearable boringness/annoyingness before that point, so I still don't really like her all that much.  Disappearance did make me like Ryoko a lot more though... >.>

    Apparently the current, official novels are based on a fan translation done by a different group than I read. If I could find a download for the baka tsuki translation I'd love to make a more indepth comparison. Anyone wanna hit up Grahf and see if he has a link?
