Batman Returns

I can buy Jim Carrey as the Joker, but why is he in green and covered in question marks? Did Joel Schumacher just forget what the character looked like?

  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
    Jim Carrey is the riddler.
  • Inbefore Malk and Juan set you straight.
  • No, don't be silly Vorpy, the Riddler wouldn't act like that.

    Someone doesn't read comics~
  • No, but I did see the TV show. Jim Carrey did not have two body guards with punny names who got into a fist-fight with Batman and Robin with silly sound effects flashing across the screen. Therefore, he is not the Riddler.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
It's an old joke about Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Riddler which had more in common with a really stupid version of the Joker than with the Riddler. I think Carrey was going for a portrayal similar to Frank Gorshin's Riddler (which has a lot in common with our modern perceptions of the Joker truth be told) but Shumacher was probably there screaming "Chew the scenery! I want the audience to see the bite marks on the blu-ray!'

Also, Riddler was in Batman Forever, not Returns. Returns had Penguin and Catwoman.
  • Oh, yeah.

    I actually liked Batman Returns.
