    But yeah, I'll grant that the moderation has generally been moving in the right direction lately. I wouldn't be here if I hadn't decided that was the case.

    ^^^^ Yeah, I'm taking that to heart.  Without acting like a dick, if something is bothering me, I'm going to say something, not just keep quiet, even if it might make me seem like a bit of a spoilsport.  It's what I should have been doing this whole time.

    I think if people address what they think is a problem in a Flag or a PM to the mods, it will help. We could discuss amongst ourselves, and make the thread public if we decide so.

    I'll mention that I noticed a certain PM exchange between myself and the mods was copypasted to the forum without my permission. I never complained about it, but it seems a little odd that there's much resistance to my idea considering that.

    I was just not aware it bothered anyone else, and if it wasn't bothering anyone else then I would have felt bad asking you to stop.

    @Malk I don't mean to imply that I thought you were intentionally trying to bother anyone.  I don't think any of you intended that.

    And I'll keep that in mind for the future.

    I'd also like to point out that I quite like you guys who were involved in the derails.  It's just the derails that annoyed me, not you personally.

    Even that's a little different. I act differently when I'm talking to users as a moderator to when I'm talking to the moderators, as we need to speak freely between ourselves, including noting behaviours of posters that might cause people to get upset if they see us discussing it and other things that are kind of... I don't really know how to describe it, so I'll just say 'Kind of moddy'.

    It's an area only we mods and admins are permitted to enter. It's the site's equivalent of maintenance rooms.

    Yes, I would prefer it if we didn't do that. (The one time I've done that, i asked for permission first, which I'm not sure could have been done there.)

    I think Everest must have forgotten the 'P' in 'PM'.

    I agree with that.  If I (or someone else) had spoken up sooner, before the issue started to boil, I think we could have resolved this with no drama.

    Not really.

    One of the main reasons FLG was able to mutate into a cybersex thread was because Fast Eddie didn't even know it existed, or what was in it, and because most mods refused to acknowledge it's existence.

    And I am pretty sure any mods here would be willing to smite any cybersex that dare happen anyway.

    My apologies. At that point, I had figured you might be gone for good, and it seemed the easiest way to explain why you had left. And when I posted that, the intended implication was that it was my fault, what had happened, and I didn't think it would have been right to gloss over anything to save face.

    I realized at the time that it was technically poor form, but I didn't think reposting it to another thread after the fact would be very harmful.

    And that situation isn't quite the same as what goes on between mods.
