Luigi gets no respect, no respect at all. Mario gets all the attention even though Luigi is the better jumper, doesn't use the FLUDD in Brawl, isn't running to save Peach everytime Bowser gets bored, and he is always good for a game of anything.

You're right. He feels the fear any normal person would in the extreme situations he finds himself in sometimes. Jumping from platform to platform over a pit of lava... terrifying.
Shaggy: Looked like my baby-sitter and ate things all of the time
Scooby Doo: A creepy talking dog with a rape face and a rape voice to go with it.
Velma: Looked like my cousin.
Daphne: Somebody in school was in love with her that I remember, I didn't know his name though.
Fred: That faggot ascot wearing white boy
^^ And... you should learn to use smash attacks. They're just as easy to do, and they're better.
^ or that. >.>
Right, I'm not good at Smash Bros. I'm not good at many games. Sure, I can beat games, but with enough effort most people can.
Though, I can use a Smash Attack sometimes.

As for what you said about him being the only sane man, I think you may be somewhat right. I mean, I kind of agree with Counterclock about his fear being flanderized, but I think that plenty of times his concerns are reasonable. Still, when compared to fearless Mario, I do think it makes him look pretty weak.
Still, from what I can tell, he consistently performs well in battles in the Mario and Luigi series, so to some extent, I am surprised that he still is so fearful. Plus, I think he is pretty strong as Mr. L and I would like to see him receive more credit from time to time.
Just look at Luigi's mansion for one.
He's an Italian plumber running around a dangerous land filled with enemy soldiers, and even that doesn't stop him from saving the day.
Gotta give credit where credit is due.
