It's also weird because I actually have a Fluttershy MLP that I bought years and years ago.

    It's a good show, really, but I won't push you into watching it. Everyone enjoys it differently. I swear though, if this derails into a backlash thread I'm shutting it down, no need to get so worked up over a damn cartoon.

    Watch it on its' own merits, and ignore what others have to say about it so they don't bias you in regards to it.

    I had a bit of a negative bias to it after all the attention in got on TV Tropes but...I figured I should at least give it a try. If only to be all "Yeah I watched it. Didn't like it. trollface.jpg" and cool and edgy and stuff but then I saw Applejack and Fluttershy and was slain.

    Personally, I haven't watched anything past the first episode simply because I felt that beneath all the memes was just an average cartoon that didn't appeal to me. The characters are suitably quirky, I guess, but none of them clicked with me to the same extent as, say, Meilin from Cardcaptor Sakura.

    I like Adventure Time more than MLP, but they're both good. It's just more fun to talk about MLP.

    I've watched both of them. None of them have amused me. I feel like that fucker who criticizes cartoons for being cartoons rather than that dude who just doesn't like these cartoons, though. Which is why I'm only outspoken about it here.

    In terms of cartoons? The usual stuff. Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Futurama, The Simpsons, etc etc.
