    We had the same Russian porn spammer try to sign up here probably over fifty times. Eventually, we accepted him and immediately banned him.

    Spambots use BBCode because it's used for a lot of internet forums.

    It's hilarious seeing them try to spam on, say, the deviantART forums, where the site uses a general markup of their own creation.
