Well, you have the people who are very enamored with girls being on the internet, the people who feel they are actually female inside despite being physically male, the people who feel that they are asexual, the people who feel that they are bisexual, the people who are homosexual and feel like talking about it, the people who feel that their heterosexuality is in danger from being exposed to all these other people, and so forth.

My biggest problem with gender discussion is I never have anything to add beyond "I was born male, I feel I should be female, and I don't understand why."

Personally, this one would be glad if concept of gender was regarded as unimportant. But thing is, other people - most of the people this one can meet irl - are  treating other people differently based on their notion of gender. This one would be happy to leave gender alone - unfortunately, it won't leave her.
