    well, obviously, I wouldn't read any of those (Except for lulz, maybe). They're just stuff that would have happened in the silver age, but as it is, the narm and cheer silliness would have amused me. Same way the silver age does.

    Well, I read the adaptation and I still felt it was wrong. It introduced an unnecessary character to appeal to American young audiences (Tom Sawyer), it made Quatermain...well...Sean Connery (Who really, really really doesn't fit the role), the plot in the comics so far had been far more interesting (H.G Wells martians and Mycroft and Moriarty Holmes having a duel of wits were far more interesting than whatever it was that the film had) and the film's generally was so...forgetable.

    that was the worst part, in fact. This is the story of the greatest and most important literature characters of the last century fighting together under one banner and yet it feels as a run-of-the-mill average action film.

    You're entitled to your opinion, mind you and I don't think it's wrong to like it, but I didn't like it.
