    I once encountered a 3DO display sample in a store.

    Unfortunately, it was turned off so I couldn't play it.  It was near the end of the time period during which I would go to stores to play their videogames.  I remember I preferred going to Sears over the other department stores because it had game system kiosks.

    Yeah, 3DO is also the name of the company that made the system. I recall them doing a lot of stuff for the PC, Playstation and N64 as well. Nothing particularly noteworthy IIRC, and usually riding on some sort of license... like I think they did a lot of crappy Might & Magic spinoffs.
