Nintendo is losing a ton of money on the 3DS apparently
Penny Arcade is theorizing that games on mobiles are killing portable consoles
;.; This would kill Pokemon
I don't want that to happen

MOBILE GAMES MUST BE DESTROYED
I think the 3DS will be fine, but I know I'm not the only one who thinks Nintendo is oversaturating the market.
-short battery life
-hinge that I wouldn't trust to keep my dishwasher closed
I'm sure there are other problems with it, but I'm not about to go buy one.
I'm thinking all handhelds have a slow start. Most don't survive very long.
titles because they'll just dust off whatever stale franchises they can
find and spend a week and some unpaid intern on porting them.
^^ Not if everything worth getting a 3DS for is canceled.
Then just yesterday that had been replaced with a new Dead or Alive game, and... well, the 3D looked horrible. Seriously, the graphics were muddy and unclear, and the "3D effects" only made the picture look slightly distorted. When I turned it off, the game looked all right.
So we've got the same problem the Wii had: its a stupid gimmick that you know nine-tenths of the manufacturers aren't going to make proper use of and will wind up being just a stupid needless forgotten thing in a few years.
Here's an idea, Nintendo: Why not just keep supporting the systems you've already got and which all still have life in them, instead of pushing a new gimmick on us every couple of years?
(and bring Fire Emblem back)
-was 12 when the DS came out-
But then, the Advance has so many games I've never played that I'd probably be overlooking any new releases this year anyway (I still need to pick up the Castlevania trilogy, goddammit!)
Nintendo has ADHD when it comes to handhelds.
