    The way I was figuring it, Britain was the mom, because she grew in area and then the source of the area became its own nation.

    Yup yup. There were a few very effective strategies they used to eliminate the natives, some being the introduction of foreign diseases and alcohol via trading and "peace offerings", and treaties, that were either falsified to be signed or hypocritical in nature, and most likely broken at-will, like the Fort Laramie Treaty. That, and after the majority of the tribes were too weak to survive on their own, and the primary food source for most of the Northern Plains tribes, the Buffalo, were killed off in heavy amounts, eventually the natives who did communicate with the government were herded onto reservations and supplied with commodities and taught english and given english names, using boarding schools and missionaries to raise native children as americans to help extinguish the native culture and assimilate them into american society easier.

    Well yes, Hatter, I can say that their plan worked. A bit too effectively, but my rage about it has been long dead for awhile and I eventually just accepted it. After all, all of it is magical voodoo bullshit anyway attached to unusable languages and customs that get people to treat you with much hatred.
