Having finished LA Noire

I can safely say that 90% of the criticisms made of it were people talking out of their own ass

  • People do tend to exaggerate or put too much stock into word-of-mouth.
  • What criticisms would you like to refute then?
  • The shooting segment at the end got made out to be a gigantic, tedious slog. It takes like, five minutes, maybe more if you really suck at it.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
I suppose they mean that in the context of a game with very little shooting, having a longer, mandatory shootout is jarring.
  • But there are similar shooting segments scattered throughout the game. It didn't feel jarring at all.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
It was a pretty dumb way to end the game, regardless. I was expecting the final boss to be a criminal with a hard tell or something.
  • I thought that was basically Leland "No, I'm not going to open my eyes all the way while you're questioning me" Monroe.

And Apollo Justice:Ace Attorney already did that, anyway.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
So? It's not like anything else L.A. Noire did was new. Why worry about ending a game the same way a relatively niche title did?
  • I don't know. It ended a little suddenly, but I wasn't displeased.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
It's like if I was writing an epic space opera and all of the sudden people stopped to sit around about trade route bloc- OH WAIT.
  • OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE

    HAHAHA

ALSO THE CAKE IS A LIE
