  • You can change. You can.
Game is short. Like, for real bro.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Good...if the self-amputation scene I just passed were only a little bit in, either the pacing would be screwed up, or it would be far, far too intense by the end for me to handle.
  • You can change. You can.
that scene never got to me. >.>

Hurm, still, I think you have a few more tests and that'd be it (One or two tops)

Yeah, I think I have two left.

I think part of why it got to me was the fact that that I was still kind of wound up from the first two tests and assorted other action sequences, combined with the screaming and the fact that I wasn't expecting him to take off the whole finger.

    What tool did you use?

Because I think that there's one that  like...forces you to cut much longer than the rest.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I used the hatchet. Wanted to get it over with.

    Was that a mistake?
  • You can change. You can.
No. Unless your shit shocking, I suppose.

(I think I used some scissors. Had to cut off a little bit that ends up hanging)

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I didn't even know that there was more than one weapon.

I used the knife, I think.

^Doesn't the game tell you there's more than one?

Incidentally, I reloaded exactly once. I felt really bad about shooting Nathaniel when he went for the cross.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
The car scene is the only part in any videogame that's made me drop the controller. Heavy Rain certainly has a lot going for it, despite its flaws.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Every action sequence has been better than any action sequence I've played in another game. The walking controls, meanwhile...ew.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
I personally wouldn't go that far. The thing about HR is that the entire game is pretty much context-sensitive, so without dedicated action controls there's not a lot of room for player creativity.

Demon's Souls probably has some of the best action encounters that spring to mind due to the combination of difficulty and player input.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I said any game I've played. Demon's Souls is actually my next priority after Heavy Rain.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
Well, the point was more about context-sensitive action against dedicated action rather than any specific game.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Yeah, that's true. Perhaps "more exciting/intense" would be a more accurate descriptor than "better."
