I thought only one thread was throwing a shitfit.

You never know if somebody's serious. TV Tropes' version of Poe's Law got you all fucked out of your system.
THat took like 5 minutes to draw.
Did something get deleted, did I miss a thread somewhere, or is this one of those you-had-to-be-there things?
Only n00bs play snipers anyway.
Anyhow, user turnover rate isn't that bad. For every problem poster v&'d or person dropping off the map we get a new one, it seems. Though they mostly lurk, yet that's to be expected at the start of community where all posters seem to know each other.
Biggest problem factor is repetition: the drama is cyclical, posters with attitude problems are all internet archetypes we've seen a zillion times before, and you can pretty much predict which thread is going to cause a shitstorm precisely because it's a rethread, if you pardon the pun. This is tiresome for the mods and the userbase and gives newcomers the impression that we just don't learn.
In the past I've sometimes expressed concern that mods are sitting on top of stuff too fast, but by now they have some experience with what needs to be deadlocked on sight(eg, any TVT complaint thread, any angst thread by the same user on the same day). It's better they err on the side of caution than the one-more-chance attitude often given to those cliché threads, imho. That can always be sorted once the nebulous 'the problem with IJBM' has sorted out.
As an aside, many of you bros play NationStates, right? Ever looked at forum topics there? Read and feel how good IJBM is in comparison.
