They can fuck right off.
I wouldn't normally go but someone had sorted out VIP guest-list stuff for everyone as it was their birthday.

Cheapest drink sold was £4.90 for a small bottle of average lager (Corona).
The main drinks were all super expensive cocktails, that tasted like super sweet alcopops.
Bleurgh.

I'd rather have a nice pub any day.

    Only place I've been with drinks that overpriced was a restaurant in Milan right next to the Cathedral with a view of the big screen showing a World Cup game.

    I had a similar experience with a bar in Rotterdam once(including the whole entry fee waiving cos of someone's b-day). Different dancefloors with supposedly differing music(clubbing shite, remixes that rape the original and genero-hiphop), a crowd that consisted of guidos and dudettes that looked as if they took a break from their window in Amsterdam, and they had bouncers act as toilet ladies, whose services included offering a range of nice scents to you.

    Still get spammed with similar birthday offer stuff years afterwards.
