Commenters on reddit seem to be telling it's not actually real. Either not real at all or only the bar is real, but not a maid cafe. I'm not sure if it means the bar had a really odd advertising or if somebody made fun of it. It's probably telling something about the state of modern world that I'm now editing this post to add this explanation, rather than having already assumed it's a joke.

Genuinely surprised since I know certain German political subgroups are super into K-On!

Specifically K-On! despite it having aired like, a decade ago. Possibly because new anime is like;

Japanese media is suddenly very pro-gay marriage.
