So, where do you guys fall?
@Anime Profile Pictures: Hey, that's AllNines' avatar. I think DYRE had that Yui avatar too. I don't think 14w had that as avatar but he definitely had that Love Live! girl (and others) at the rightmost as avatar.
I think Konata should be more to the right, and the Libertarianism part has a notable abscense of loli pictures.
The lack of Touhou avatars makes it hard but I think I'd fall between the Yui avatar and the pink-haired girl from Future Diary.
You know, I'd read it. There was some sort of research into the political opinions of conspiracy theorists, or something along these lines, but as far as I remember, it was focused on the US which that might be unnecessarily limiting. They tested like a half dozen of popular conspiracy theories and only moon landing hoax was not overwhelmingly supported by right-wingers. I wonder how would it work now, though. The results seem to be heavily dependent on the theory in question, which should be relatively obvious, so I can't quite reconstruct what were the principles behind the research. For one, big pharma and free energy conspiracy theories seem to be based on rather leftist assumptions.
"radium-smoked ribs"
also as for leftist conspiracy theories i think there might be some involving mystical beliefs regarding nature? also anti-vax
though these may just be all over the place
Also leftist spins on the Jewish overlords conspiracy theories, drawing on the association between Jews and bankers, though that kind of stuff is clearly more prevalent on the right so maybe it shouldn't count as a leftist conspiracy theory.
For other race stuff there's also the ones were there advanced Atlantis-like civilizations in Africa with aircrafts and whatnot, and European historians have worked to conceal it all. Similarly, I know Tumblr is full of people claiming that whatever important white person in history was actually black and this is being covered up.
Around here, in addition to the saboteurs thing above there's also the one where the US government caused IIRC Haiti's earthquake years ago, or that the CIA inoculated Chávez' cancer.
The "we wuz kangz" meme is based on nationalist sentiment, rather than something natively leftist. It's tactically leftist, I'd call it. But apart from that nitpick, it's also crazy enough. Do you know we have about exactly that sort of stuff here? We call it "Great Lechia" or "Turboslavism".
"you will never be a dwarven blacksmith"
also, FYI, re moon:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/moon-footprints/
TL;DR
1. The tread marks on the Moon match that of the overshoe, not the basic astronaut suit boot.
2. It's not even Armstrong's footprint in that picture; it's Aldrin's.
also, I'm gonna steal and repost that Trolley of Theseus
and a pile of suez canal memes:
and finally, I've promised the photo of Games Workshop headquarters:
Allegedly, the locals know it as "the Reichstag".
(alt link here)
There was some sort of BLM stuff around a footy game. Mostly I don't care, but a meme is a meme. But also, somebody reposted this:
"Olisadebe apologize for Jedwabne!" - the joke here is an African footy player was naturalized, settled down and so on, so some prankster called him to apologize for a wartime pogrom from (IIRC) 1942.
Georgetta Thunfloyd, choked to death by a coal magnate
these ones seem relevant to culinary map of Europe
these to nothing in particular
