I remember beating him several times a couple years ago when his database wasn't quite as robust.  The ones I remember stumping him back then include Yuri from Shadow Hearts, Kevin Youkilis of the Red Sox (after confirming he was nonfictional, he tried to guess if Youkilis had a sentient sword...his beard, maybe), and Shorts Kid from Pokemon (who he now identifies, but just barely).

In recent months I got him with Tock from The Phantom Tollbooth. and I just now got him all the way out to a 40-question beatdown with Leena from Chrono Cross.

Take heart though.  20 questions is only likely to narrow it down from a million characters or so.
