I won't use an MLP avatar because I like my generic anime girls/troll (characters) better. And because it would feel wrong using one from a show that I don't intend to watch.

I do think this is better than the "chagion" incident though since not everyone has identical avatars. Still, if someone ever wants to start a counter avatar theme (lumberjacks perhaps), I would probably be up for it though I admit that such a theme would be pretty pointless and silly.
