"Rape is worse than death!"
Comments
^I totally comprehend it. Doesn't mean I like it at all. Whatevs.
Well I didn't actually want to post anything, that was strange.way (so long as they're not like, running around trying to mercy kill
rape victims, because seriously). Some people are resilient enough to
recover from rape and move on. Others can get permanently messed up in
the head very badly by it, especially if it happens more than once.
No, dying after rape makes no sense for this one. If rape has already happened, this one would rather survive.
But dying instead of being raped would be preferable for this one, yes.
Hmm, how to explain...Suppose there is a graph indicating an overall happiness of one's life. When one dies, said graph simply ends at whatever point it reached. Suffering, including rape, makes the graph drop lower, and sharply.
Suppose this one currently has a happiness of 57. Dying right now would not change this number - it is still 57, only continued no longer. Being raped would immediately drop it to 5. Getting killed after that would get one dead with a happiness of 5. Surviving might have the number slowly increase, but it would probably take years since in reaches the original number. For all this time, this one would be in the worse state than what she'd be in if she died before being raped, but in better state than if she died immediately after that.
But then stale bread is worse than death too.
And how would that be?
Because death is unvalued. Neutral.
Life is 87.5% negative on average.
If you're gonna graph it then keep into account that the line is always gonna be dropping if left alone, will spike massively downwards if anything bad happens, and blip upwards just a little when good things happen.... BUT irrespective, it always defaults back to 0 upon death... whether it was at -5 or -5000. And honestly, only those who are perpetually high on drugs are going to spend any significant time in the positives.
