When people post child porn on imageboards

Glaives are better.
Seriously. What the fuck.

I'm okay with gore threads. I'm okay with the racism threads. I'm okay with weird sex fetishes like futa or inflation. Hell, I'm even okay with scat threads. Those are all legal, and if it gets your rocks off, then go for it.

But child porn is fucking WRONG. I don't even like children, and it fucking disgusts me. Not to mention the fact that IT'S FUCKING ILLEGAL, and will ruin your life if you're caught accessing it. So not only are YOU being perverted and wrong in public, you're also risking other people who don't want anything to do with that shit and accidentally see it anyway.

Seriously. Fuck.

Remember those weird ass ads advertising the porn of girls who had blonde hair and that fucking thick blush and eyeliner and it made them look creepy as fuck?
  • Most of the guys posting CP are stupid immature 13-year-olds anway
  • Glaives are better.
I don't give a flying fuck how old they are. I don't want to have anything to do with child porn.

    : /

Even if they ask "it's a secret bro, don't tell anyone" while sage replying old-ass threads on unimportant boards and distributing it before vanishing forevers?
  • Er... you do know they're usually doing it to troll people like you, right?  I mean, doesn't mean it's a good thing to do, but it does mean complaining like that isn't going to be very productive.
  • I'm very disturbed by this because WHERE ARE THEY GETTING IT FROM?
  • From imageboards, obviously.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
    It's like a cycle.
  • Glaives are better.
If it's trolling, then it's fucking succeeding. I'm sick of people spreading that disgusting shit all over the place. It's illegal, immoral and it puts ME in danger.

One time, I saw someone post in a thread, saying, "bumping with cp," and posting a picture of a naked preteen. Needless to say, I left the board right the fuck away, but, Jesus, the thread was about people's colleges. It came right the fuck out of nowhere.
  • You get caught being somewhere with child porn, and then it's your ass that's on the line. This IS a big deal.
  • Who the fuck browses imageboards in public?!

He never said that he did. Stuff like that could stay in your cache and then, you're fucked. Also, while it's not likely, what if the police busted in your house at that very moment?

Always browse 4chan in Porn Mode, just in case.
  • They're somethin' else.
The problem is, you don't even know if you have CP in you cache sometimes. You get some very weird things in there. All you have to do is go to a site that has much more off color material right in the mother fucking advertisements and that shit'll just stay there.

Guys, how do you erase a cache on a mac os X mozilla? I'm paranoid now.
  • Glaives are better.
I never browse imageboards in public. I do it in my room when I'm alone, and I only ever visit the worksafe boards, or the ones devoted to softcore porn (you know, from nude photoshoots). Occasionally, I visit the random board, because sometimes there's something worth looking at there, but if I see child porn I immediately go back on my browser.

Bob's right. If the police came bursting into my house right now, and saw that I'd accessed a page with child pornography on it, they wouldn't care that I'd done it accidentally and with innocent intentions. And even if they did, if anyone saw that I'd been questioned by the police about it, I'd pretty much kiss any job aspirations I have goodbye.
  • 'nother reason I use Opera: it comes with an easy-to-use option in which you can browse pages without viewing their images.
  • We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
Somehow, I doubt that the police are going to arrest you for having lolicon ads in your cache.
  • I'm pretty sure that in some countries fictional child porn is also very srs bzns.
  • To play devil's advocate, it doesn't hurt children if you repost CP.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Hurts their image.
  • Whuh?
  • The very fact that the picture was created meant that the child was hurt.
  • And I think the idea is that distributing child porn also encourages more of it to be made, which in turn requires the abuse of more children.  Which is, you know, bad.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    "Oh look, reposted child porn."

"... Oh fuck, that's Timmy across the street! How am I gonna look him in the eye now?!"
  • Are you saying that in this case, you can reduce demand by reducing the supply?
  • That completely gos against one of the most basic concepts of economics!

Gelzo, there is a line with devil's advocate and you have crossed it.

^^ No, but that doesn't mean that child porn is a good thing.

  • You didn't answer the question, Don.

  • They're somethin' else.
Again, how do you delete your cache?
  • I don't really get the reactions I'm getting here. Weren't we just going over how appeal to emotions was bad in another thread?

I of course support the prosecution of child abusers and disapprove of actions or speech that would encourage child abuse, but that doesn't mean I can't wonder about whether it's effective in preventing said abuse to persecute people who save and recycle those images without paying for them.
