You know the ones.  With their strange behaviour and their different opinions and their utter failure to even try to act like middle class people, which betrays their no-doubt woeful upbringing.

Ruffians and layabouts, the lot of them.

This was more inspired by a middle class acquaintance complaining about "common people", which amused me.

It was more the pretentiousness of a middle class person complaining about "common people" that was funny.  Not so much the blatant classism, which isn't really unusual.
