RE-ANIMATOR
My Little Pony must have been rebooted at some point, right?
And for some odd reason lots of people here seem obsessed with it.
I've probably been left out of the loop because I haven't watched any television in 8 years ... or something like that, but it does kinda bother me when I don't know what is going on in the world of memes.

Hmmm.... I wonder...

  • Woki mit deim Popo.
You don't about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?  That's like a plague on various forums.
  • Nah. Haven't really been on forums for a while either.
I've been cut off from most human interaction for a few years now.... other than making the occasional nonsensical YouTube video and ranting on TVTropes.
  • Run, man! Get out while you still kan! The ponies, they're taking over! THEY'RE GOING TO KILL US ALL! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!
  • Woki mit deim Popo.
Yah, listen to the woman.  The new fandom has manly men gushing about rainbow colored ponies.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
  • ... Well, what really puzzles me is when a few years ago I named my horse in Mabinogi "MyLittlePony" ... mostly for the sake of irony because it is a Shire Horse...
... But I reckon everyone else is kicking themselves that they didn't get that name now.

Maybe I have precognition... Who knows?

Somehow I doubt the Thundercats reboot will receive this kind of positive reception.   =(   ....

  • Bitch you did NOT go there?

Do I gotta call down the Ancient Spirits of EEEEEVIL on your backside?
  • Please, don't even try it, punk bitjh. I'll wrek your shit, mang. Does Bob have to wingslap a bitjh?

You know what 80s cartoon they need to do a reboot of?

  • I don't know why that should bother you, both are meant to sell toys. One has already received critical positive acclaim, so if the Thundercats are going to be that good too all the better.

Ponies don't have a mummy sorcerer and sword that grows longer when the hero says, "HO!"
  • Oh yeah... I haven't given you guys the full explanation yet for how Thundercats is all about self-discovery and masturbation. It is all totally clear when you think about it....  The extending nature of the sword via application of manliness, the Eye of Thundera, the white streams of energy, Lion-O's forward-facing grip, his self-reliance  (he calls the other Thundercats, but when they get there he has already finished... because he is only young). The crude but innocent way all problems are solved via the Sword of Omens in some form or other. The way Cheetara's obscenely powerful psychic powers represent the superiority of the female orgasm and the inherent erogeny of the female body in contrast to Lion-O's utter uselessness without his sword. Mumm-Ra represents shame, as is readily apparent by his being defeated by his own reflection.

Seriously... I could go on like this for hours.
  • Are we really going to argue which toy franchise is superior? This is a new level of sad.

You think Thundercats is all about weird symbolism? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

    ^ You're boring. Next.

    RE-ANIMATOR
Weird symbolism? Not really. It is just about masturbation.... the same way He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is the most homosexual cartoon ever made (and that is in no way a criticism). I mean seriously... swords are just for clashing against other swords. Real fights consist of two muscular, oiled men wrestling.
    Every.
    Single.
    Time.
  • And Bananaman was inferior to Superted... in the original Welsh.

I am grateful for one thing about anime: that it usually only lasts a season.

  • Woki mit deim Popo.
Unless it's a based on a shonen manga...
  • At least I haven't really seen those become fads. Maybe one-scene memes, but not full-out "everyone talks about it" deals. Except Death Note.
  • Just try out the first episode at least.

Hmm...can I get you to try out something I really like in return? Then again, you're giving it to me for free while my suggestions would cost money.
  • It's krak, isn't it?
  • What is it?
  • I was thinking either a BIT.TRIP game, World Of Goo, or Plants Vs Zombies. They all have demos so you can test the waters, and they're relatively cheap if you wish to go and buy them.

  • $80+ per session
Hahaha, you think those cost money. That's funny.
  • Just watch this:

    Okay, that was mildly funny.

But "I'd like to be a tree" had me gasping for breath due to laughing.
  • You can change. You can.
...maybe it's just not my thing, but I just didn't find that funny. -shrug-
