I said that because CODfags form the majority of gamers today.

I didn't know Pokemon was a Call of Duty Game, or World of Warcraft, or Minecraft, or Dragon Quest, or Team Fortress 2.

They all involve accomplishing a specific goal.

Therefore, they are all COD games.

    Cellulite On Diana.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.

I knew somebody would pull that sometime or other.

THIS IS WHAT TRUE GAMERS ACTUALLY BELIEVE.

^^ Hardcore gamers are just worried that the new influx of casual gamers will stop the games they like from being made. For instance, if you're not a fan of Call of Duty and its iron sights, sprint button, linear squad-based gameplay, realistic environments, strawberry jam on the HUD, Half Life 2-esque cutscenes and setpieces and the regenerating health and weapon limit borrowed from Halo, you pretty much have to reject every new FPS since they all borrow so heavily from it. Even twists on the formula like Crysis 2's nanosuit and Bad Company's huge multiplayer levels are just minor deviations from the norm.

Older game genres survived through indie devs because they were so easy to make. But indie devs don't have the resources to make a 10 hour 3D game with voice acting or 20 dialogue options per NPC.

Nevermind, that joke was retarded mentally handicapped.
  • There is a ton literature most of it though is focused on game making as a technical profession and all the various aspects of it.  Most of the books are also rather costly.

    Read books on Oblivion.

Read the bestiary entries on FFXII.
