Eh, I used to think of Tze Tze as a girl too. For pretty much the same reason.

Why is it that the editing tools here are so much more advanced tan on the sire?

I have no idea.

What I do know, however, is that I always have seperated people into two groups based on their writing style--Male or Female. Each group corresponds nearly 100% with the actual gender.

DYRE, INUH, Everest, Snowbull, Poni, Noim...they all type in different ways, but there is a masculinity behind them. I can just tell they're male.

AHR, Cygan, Waltzy, Vorpy, Funny...they all type in different ways too, but I can still feel an air of femininity behind their words.

Some weird mix of male and female.

Transgenders are a large problem for me. Their typing gender is almost always what their birth sex is and not their preferred gender. This is probably because most of them were forced to live as their birth sex for years and old habits die hard, but I'm not sure...

Even Cygan sounds like very adorable...and masculine. And her existence is like Moe.

I remember some site that would analyze whether a writer was male or female based on what words they used. I didn't bother testing it.

Hmm. -tries test- One sample, the beginning of a romantic story, tested female by a lot. But a sample from a project I've since dropped, an action-y story, was tested male by a lot. Basically what I was expecting. That probably just means that I either haven't developed a voice yet, or I know how to write genres differently, for better or worse. It should be mentioned that the second sample was significantly longer and had more dialogue, though.

Or this test is crap.

I do not understand the algorithm for that test. How are "the", "a", "at", etc. male keywords and "we" and "myself" female keywords? I smell a rat.

Well, a, it, the, etc. are important words and thus male, while words like we and myself are unimportant thus female.

How can that even be considered a little accurate if the results depend upon the identity of the main character in a work of fiction?

I put in 3 different pieces I wrote and got 'mildly female' 'FEMALE' and 'MALE' depending entirely upon the gender of the protagonist!

Did the test with some of my longer posts from SA and I got female; did it with some essays I wrote this year and got male. Curiously, I use the top female keyword ("with") often whereas I almost never use the top male keyword ("around").
