    My ex-wife used to mask her flatulence by trying to pass it off as fanny-farts...

    Which, translated for the language-inept and otherwise american.... means that she would time her farting so it was indistinguishable from the similar sound emitted from overly rapid penetration of her vagina.  The giveaway was usually the smell... but after a while it just became a running joke.
    The fact that we had running jokes for use during sex doesn't actually have anything to do with why she is now the ex-wife.
